Meet Johana

Johana is a business minded & creatively charged brand marketer with cross functional expertise in performance, influencer & partnerships marketing. 


She is a Growth Marketing Manager at Bumble, the female-first social networking app bringing kindness and respect back into introductions and promoting equality in relationships. She first joined Bumble as part of the Partnerships Team, executing over $15M USD in media spend through in-app & paid social campaigns for brands including Netflix, Halo Top, Hulu, Stella Artois & Urban Decay to name a few. 


Aside from her extensive work in Bumble’s brand partnerships, Johana has transitioned to focus on Bumble’s User Acquisition, running paid media campaigns for teams around the globe and managing $2M+ in monthly media budget as well as leading influencer marketing initiatives for mobile app acquisition.  Through her creative & influencer strategy, Johana has been able to develop natural direct response ad content for all paid media channels such as TikTok, Snapchat, AppLovin, Youtube, Facebook & Instagram. Johana’s direct response ads have been recognized by MarketingDive and earned 2020’s TikTok’s Business Editor’s Choice Award. Bumble increased app installs by five times and decreased cost-per-registration by 64% after running direct response ads on social video app TikTok.

Johana first began her career as a E-Commerce Marketing Associate for an ethically-made shoe brand where she initiate her journey in digital marketing & consumer engagement. After learning the ins & outs for e-comm management, Johana transitioned to work at media publication, Texas Monthly. At Texas Monthly,  she oversaw the magazine’s  audience development strategy, including the implementation of Texas Monthly’s Paywall . She supported the development of marketing plans and increased revenue & brand loyalty for the magazine.
